I am a passionate Mahi Toi Practitioner, dedicated to teaching the Matauranga of our tupuna. As a mother of seven sons and grandmother to three granddaughters, family is central to my life and inspires much of my creative and professional journey.
My Toi Maori practice spans painting, tattooing, and traditional tā moko, deeply rooted in my Whakapapa.
As I balance motherhood, academic pursuits, and community commitments, I remain driven by a love for creativity, culture, and education. My ultimate goal is to contribute to the revitalization of Toi Māori, Toi Tuwharetoa and to empower others—particularly Rangatahi —to embrace their cultural heritage and voices through Toi. This is all irrelevant as my key role and responsibilities as apart of a Kaiako of Tongariro Area School.
Ngā mihi
